Job Title:

Full-Time Project Estimator

Job Purpose:

Analyze, design, & quote custom blast resistant modules while providing excellent customer service and maintaining tight deadlines.

Job Duties:

·Analyze customer supplied bid packets, floor plans, emails and call notes to design buildings according to customer’s desired specifications

·Read & understand engineering drawings, including but not limited to:

oElectrical Drawings

oStructural Drawings

oFloor Plan Drawings

oSite Drawings

·Acquire project details from sales staff and organize custom project bids

·Produce building specification sheet and other bid presentation documents

·Work with vendors to obtain most cost efficient option for custom modules

·Create cost assessments and analyze custom project margins

oBe able to decipher bid details and apply margins to maximize profit while securing a high percentage of bids

·Maintain high level of salesmanship & professionalism when discussing custom projects with customers and vendors

·Develop systems to create efficiencies in the estimation process in regards to budgetary and final quotes

·Work with designer/drafter to create structural drawings, floor plans, elevation views, and other bid documentation

·Understand basic construction practices so design & price custom modules

·Research new vendors and products to improve quality, capabilities, and profitability

·Work with customers through bid review and approval to answer customer questions and obtain bid approval documentation

·Work with building code officials, when necessary, to prepare building approval package and obtain necessary certifications

oi.e. State Seals

·Work with third party engineering firms to design BRM’s, keep documentation up-to-date, and prepare building approval packages

·Provide job details to production team to ensure buildings are manufactured according to approved specifications and meet required production deadlines

Skills/Qualifications:

·Strong computer skills are necessary

oProficient with basic computer operations

oProficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

oAbility to quickly and efficiently learn new computer software and systems

·Past project estimating/planning experience is desirable

·Candidate should have the following qualities/traits

oTeam Oriented

·Occasional out of state travel is required
